What is the CNC method
CR Lab a leading company in the world of trichology is always engaged in scientific research aimed at identifying new solutions for the prevention and treatment of hair problems. These include the CNC (Natural Contact Hair) method, which was CR Lab's first and revolutionary patented method for major balding problems.
It is a noninvasive hair thickening system that involves the creation of hair epithesis customized to the needs of each individual patient.
CNC supplements untreated European virgin natural hair in areas affected by thinning and balding.
Starting with the creation of a model, which highlights the morphology and contours of the client's area to be rebonded, an epithesis is made. On the base of the epithesis, made of dermatologically tested polymeric materials designed to improve comfort and stability, real hair from donors with similar characteristics to the client's are grafted. The hair is inserted manually, one by one, following the client's hair type, respecting its original distribution, inclination and thickness. Once completed, the epithesis is integrated on the scalp using special cohesives dermatologically tested at the University of Ferrara Cosmetology Center (certified by the U.S. FDA - Food and Drug Administration).
The CNC process
Making an epithesis requires 39 steps that can be summarized in 6 key moments

STEP 1 - PARAMETER DETECTION
First, the alopecic area on the client's skull is identified and studied, and a cast is made to faithfully reproduce its physiognomic features.

STAGE 2 - SKULL REPRODUCTION
Special software records all data from the cast made at Cesare Ragazzi Laboratories centers and proceeds to make an exact copy of the client's skull.

STEP 3 - HAIR SELECTION AND MIXING
In order to have a color that perfectly matches the client's, a careful selection of natural hair is made until the perfect blend is achieved. For its unique CNC® system, the company uses European, unhulled hair because it has a more natural effect and combs out more easily.

STEP 4 - BASE PREPARATION
This is done by coloring the polymer base, previously made in the laboratories. Next, a reproduction of the client's skull is used to assemble the suitable base on which to place the hair.

STEP 5 - GRAFTING
Hair grafting is manual: they are inserted one by one onto the polymer base by an operator, following the distribution, inclination and direction of the client's hair.

STEP 6 - INTEGRATION
Integration takes place at one of the CR Lab - Cesare Ragazzi Laboratories centers, where the client's final styling is done.
